Why Managed Service?

The xMetrics platform is powerful, multi-tiered, and highly configurable. Getting the most from it takes specialist knowledge and a meaningful time commitment. The Instrumentix Managed Service removes that burden entirely: we deploy, configure, monitor and operate xMetrics on your behalf, ensuring you realise maximum return on investment without stretching internal resource.

The service is especially valuable for organisations that wish to take immediate advantage of new platform features, or that prefer change to be managed by the people who built the software. We know which capabilities to leverage and how best to implement them in the context of your existing environment.

What follows is a high-level overview. Should you wish to proceed, a full-service description will be provided.

What is included

24 × 7 × 365 monitoring

Continuous monitoring of every xMetrics installation covered by the agreement, including the running software, the underlying operating environment, and — where Instrumentix has supplied the hardware — the infrastructure itself.

When an issue is detected, a trouble ticket is raised in the Instrumentix Client Portal, the agreed distribution list is notified by email, and the ticket is updated through to resolution — meaning the platform is returned to its agreed operational state, reflecting any new features or changes made during the term of the agreement.

Preventative and routine maintenance

Regular health checks to identify and resolve predictable issues before they become failures. Routine maintenance is carried out at weekends and outside of business hours to minimise disruption.

Business-as-usual operations

We ensure the xMetrics platform is fully operational during every period of business activity. Ready-for-business checks are conducted at 21:00 BST/GMT each Sunday.

Scheduled and ongoing change

All change activities associated with the xMetrics platform are managed by Instrumentix, ensuring the platform continues to deliver against your requirements. Work is scheduled at weekends or outside of business hours wherever possible.

What is not included

Significant new functionality outside the scope of the original delivery. xMetrics is a highly flexible platform capable of addressing use cases not foreseen at deployment time. Any such work falls outside the Managed Service and would be scoped separately.
